The Heart and Stroke Foundation's courses in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)  are educational programs taught by For the Love of The Family.  Completion cards issued to students completing these courses state the date of issue/course completion date.
 
The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada recommends annual retraining as CPR is an important life-time skill.

Heart Saver (A)

Infant and Child (D)
Individualized Courses (E)
 
Participants will receive the Heart and Stroke Foundation's course guide in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

  • Heart and Stroke Foundation mission and major initiatives
  • Promotion of heart-healthy living, risk factors for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease
  • Recognition of heart attack and respiratory arrest
  • Definition of CPR
  • Chain of Survival
  • How to perform CPR on children and infants (one rescuer)
  • How to clear airway obstructions in children and infants (choking)
  • Barrier devices
  • Preventing childhood injuries and pomoting safe and healthy lifestyles
